Commander Sean Jarvis served over 30 years of active duty in the United States Navy and retired from service in 2021. Sean has completed five overseas assignments in the U.S. European and Indo-Pacific areas of responsibility, conducted over 10 deployments, and has completed countless combat missions in the air, land, and sea.
Following the Navy, Sean has been a program manager for several foreign partner Foreign Military Sales (FMS) cases in the US European Command (EUCOM) area of responsibility (AOR) and primarily focused on providing maritime solutions to multi-national navies and coastal surveillance efforts in Europe. He is certified through the Defense Security Cooperation University (DSCU) in basic security cooperation including the fundamentals of FMS case practices including laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and case management methodologies.
Education includes a master’s degree in Foreign Affairs and Strategic Studies in Nov, 2016 from the Naval War College, Newport, RI and a Master in Business and Administration (MBA) from University of Phoenix in Jul, 2008. Sean also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation Management from Southern Illinois University in Jun, 2000.
In addition to formal education, Commander Jarvis served as an Instructor at the Strike Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN) and at the Sea Control Weapons School Atlantic; was designated as a Joint Targeteer (3A2), qualified and served as a Battle Watch Captain at a Naval Fleet Command; and was appointed as Executive Officer to the Director of Intelligence at U.S. European Command
